The USMLE Tutors
I'm a clinical-year medical student who scored a 75 on the CBSE and passed Step 1. I completed UWorld three times, AMBOSS twice, and every single NBME form twice.
I put in those reps because I wanted to see the patterns. Not just learn the content, but understand how the test writers think, what they're actually testing, and why students keep missing questions they “should” know.
That's what I bring to my students. I don't re-teach you what you already know. I analyze your data (your UWorld performance, your NBME breakdowns, your wrong answer patterns) and build a system that targets exactly what's holding you back.
I developed a framework called the 5 Failure Modes that categorizes every wrong answer into one of five root causes: content gap, recall failure, misread, second-guessing, or reasoning error. Most students assume all their mistakes are content problems and just “study more.” But when I audit their wrong answers, I typically find 30-50% of errors come from mechanical issues that more content review will never fix.
That insight (that the problem isn't always what you know, but how you take the test) is the foundation of everything I do.
This is not for everyone. I work with students who are serious about executing a demanding plan designed for a competitive result. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand or tell you it's going to be easy, I'm not your guy.
But if you want someone who will look at your data, tell you the truth about where you stand, and build a system that has been proven to work, then we should talk.
I specialize in:
I focus exclusively on Step 1. For Step 2 CK, I refer students to The Board Professors. Sean, Sahith, and Alex are seasoned USMLE tutors who've guided hundreds of students to success on Step 2. They write the questions for the boards.
Tell me your score, your goal, and what's not working. I'll give you a straight answer.
